• Personal coach to over 100 jr and sr international medalists, USA National team coach 2007-2022, Olympic karate coach at the Tokyo2020 Summer Olympic Games. 
• Started training in Shotokan karate in 1986, has been teaching karate since 1996 and teaching karate full time since 2003
• Former captain of the USA national karate team. 10X national champion in men’s kumite, multiple-time North American Cup gold medalist in Kumite, pan-American championship individual kumite gold medalist and team kumite silver and bronze medalist, US Open multiple-time gold medalist. Was ranked 5th in the world following the 2008 WKF World Championships in Tokyo. 
• Served two terms on the USA Karate Board of Directors and current member of the USA Karate Coaches Committee
